You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

This will be my first video post. I finally found a easy way to embed YouTube videos.

Check out my cute nephews wrestling. These boys are little tanks! I imagine they’ll be wrestling like this for the rest of their lives being that they are brothers and so close in age. Their giggles just crack me up!

I’ll get some videos of Kimberly on here soon!

The Best Show You Probably Missed

September 25, 2007 by Ryan

You are probably all excited at the return of Heroes, and I am too, but this is about my new favorite show. The unfortunate thing for you is that it’s already had its season finale!

Who is this guy? Is it the jerk from Hitch? No…well yeah I guess, the actor anyway (Jeffrey Donavon). But here he is Michael Weston from Burn Notice. If you haven’t seen it, sorry, you missed it (at least until it comes out on DVD). It’s seriously the my favorite show since 24.

It’s about a spy who gets “burned”, which means whatever agency he was working for has now disassociated themselves and left him high and dry. I was skeptical at first because I didn’t think the actor could pull off the role. But USA has put together some great shows: from Monk (which I hope everyone knows about and watches) to another one of my favorites in Psych (which I probably could write another whole post about). So we gave it a shot and I’ve been hooked!

I don’t know if it’s the dead sexy jet black challenger or the fact the Bruce Campbell (of Army of Darkness fame) is in the show that has me so addicted! I think it’s because the guy is so freakin’ slick and has is always a step ahead of everyone. Actually, throughout the show, the main character narrates little spy tidbits and insights and I think that helps me to jump into the whole spy fantasy. If you saw it, you know what I’m talking about. If you didn’t, buy it or rent it when it goes to DVD!

Return of the Master Chief

September 25, 2007 by Ryan

I am writing having slept maybe 2 hours last night. And unfortunately, I’m not 22 anymore. I’m gonna pay for it, but it was worth it!

Last night Halo 3 came out and I, along with countless millions, played for hours. It was great! It brought me back to my college days with roommates and neighbors tangled in rocket-launcher death matches! And it’s the same game. Same feel, same gameplay, just turned up and improved. New guns, new vehicles, amazing graphics. And the best part, up to 16 player co-op! Are you kidding me?!

Beth and I along with Spencer, my brother-in-law (the one who owns the 360) were talking about how big this Halo release is. We talked about this generation is full of these types of hugely anticipated events. Harry Potter. Pirates. Lord of the Rings. Even the Star Wars movies. It seems like we have these record-breaking releases all the time. I guess it’s due in part to how connected the world is. We were thinking about the millions of people that probably jumped onto the Bungie servers last night, all having the same experience, from London to New York to Springville, Utah. Pretty cool!

New Homerun King

I know people have a problem with his attitude. I know people have issues with him and the juice. But you have to give it up to Barry Bonds for 756! Whether you like him or detest him, you can’t dispute that he has been one of the best hitters in baseball. He probably has one of the best eyes the game has ever seen.

I am actually glad he was able to do it in San Francisco where he was able to be cheered. It is too big of an accomplishment to ignore or boo. I always get chills when I watch historic homers (Kirk Gibson…hehehe, I had to McKissicks).
